WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - West Palm Beach authorities are
investigating how a boy was left in a hot car as his mother did her
nails hours before her wedding. The 4-year-old boy later died at a
hospital.
The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner says the boy's
temperature reached 108 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says that 29-year-old
Mirland Baptiste may not have known the boy was in the car. She
dropped off other children at a relative's house Saturday before
going to the salon.
She was supposed to get married later that day. Instead, the
family mourned the death of Gregory Cesar.
Officials say the boy may have been in the car for more than two
hours. Temperatures had reached 90 degrees.
