MARIANNA, Pa. (AP) - After a daylong manhunt, police in western
Pennsylvania have arrested a man suspected of killing his wife and
two young children.
The bodies of 22-year-old Ashley Guarino and her two-year-old
daughter and 11-month-old son were found by relatives Wednesday
night in their rural home. The coroner says they were apparently
asphyxiated and has ruled the deaths homicides.
State troopers caught 38-year-old Orlando Guarino after a foot
chase and he's being charged with three counts of homicide.
The Guarinos had a history of accusing each other of abuse and
had recently separated.
As he was being led to his arraignment Thursday night, Guarino
told reporters that he didn't do it. But then added, "It could be
me, man, you never know." He went on to say that given the
circumstances, quote, "I would accuse me, too."
