Deadly Construction Accident

- The construction accident happened at the new maintenance facility for rental cars on the north side of the terminal.
- Crews broke ground on the $21 million facility in February.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a deadly construction accident at Pensacola Regional Airport.

Pensacola Fire Chief David Allen says the call came in just before 1:30. When police arrived, they found someone dead on a set of scaffolding.

The fire department, Pensacola police and Escambia County Fire Rescue are all on the scene. They're using some sort of heavy equipment "to try and extricate the body from the scene."
