SANFORD, Fla. (AP) - A central Florida hospital where a newborn
was kidnapped earlier this year has been fined $10,000 by a state
agency.
The Agency for Health Care Administration found problems with
the security system in Central Florida Regional Hospital's
maternity ward, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Jennifer Latham, of Sanford, has been charged with kidnapping a
newborn boy from the Sanford hospital. Authorities say Latham posed
as a hospital employee when she took the baby from the maternity
ward in March.
The baby wasn't harmed.
Latham is being held without bail in the Seminole County Jail,
according to jail records.
