Do you know when to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary in Mobile County?
Election officials say you can vote either Wednesday or on Mardi Gras Day, but they urge people to vote Wednesday.
Mobile County officials conducted a big ad campaign to get their message across, and they believe voters are listening.
Now they're worried voters won't heed this very important rule.
Mobile County Probate Court Judge Don Davis says, "You cannot vote for delegates assigned to two political candidates."
If you do, probate court officials say your ballot will be rejected right there and you'll have to get back in line and vote again.
Still confused?
Remember this.
Davis says, "You don't have to vote for any delegates. The voter has the opportunity to vote for the presidential candidate without voting for any delegates."
Bottom line: election officials say read the instructions on the ballot.
The special primary voting also affects Baldwin County.
On Wednesday, one polling place will be open.
The Foley Civic Center will be open from seven in the morning until seven at night.
On February fifth, Mardi Gras Day, all polls will be open in Baldwin County.
