Students:  We Wanted to Help

Students at LeFlore High School are doing what they can the help the mother of 4 children thought to have been thrown off the Dauphin Island bridge by their father. Members of the band came up with the idea to pass the hat and collect money. LeFlore's band director said the school wanted to do something in the wake of the tragedy and he was touched by the student's concern. Arna Dubose says, " I thought it would be a great idea because a lot of times when things happen to families, we pass the hat for our regular band members and students. When this happened to the family, we felt very sad. We felt this would be our way of giving back to their family."
