The bridge tragedy has saddened and touched the lives of people across the state, including Governor Bob Riley. Riley calls the deaths of the children is one of "Alabama's worst tragedies." Riley has vowed to help local search and rescue crews in Bayou La Batre. The governor says the state will provide whatever resources they can.
