Lam Luong, the man accused of throwing his children off the Dauphin Island Bridge was in court this morning in Mobile County for a bond hearing. Luong was brought into the courtroom a little after nine this morning. He came in, slightly hunched over and wrapped in a bulletproof vest! Additional security was also brought in for this brief hearing. The courtroom was packed with people, but we couldn't find any family members. Since Luong has been charged with 4 counts of capital murder, it was no surprise to hear the judge deny bond. District Attorney John Tyson spent hours at the bridge and today stood at the prosecution table in court. Tyson says "It was a sobering thought for me to stand on top of the bridge, take out my binoculars, survey the shoals that were out there and just lean over and look at how far down the water is. This is a rough crime and we look forward to being in court. Luong's next scheduled court appearance isn't until March 5th. Tyson says we'll all be learning more about this case as they piece the timeline together and continue to work on tips from anyone who saw anything on the Dauphin Island Bridge Monday.
