Bridge Tragedy Affecting People Across Gulf Coast

The Dauphin Island Bridge tragedy has touched the hearts of people across Baldwin County...including a Robertsdale business owner who's doing all he can to help the family.

"It was hard to hear about that," says Mark Snider who runs D and D Furniture in Robertsdale. "I mean, that happened right in our backyard, you hear about stuff like that happening, but not here."

Snider is challenging local businesses to help.

"I'm going to donate money and see about opening up a bank account or trust fund for the mother," says Snider. "I'm challenging every Baldwin County business to donate money to help."

"I think it's a great idea," say Robertsdale businessman Gary Porter. "It's great to help the mom, no money in the entire world will ever be enough to help her get over this but it's a start."
