$3000 Reward For Vandal Information

»  Comments | Post a Comment

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - A man who grew up in Pensacola has
tripled the reward being offered for any information on the
vandalism at St. Johns Cemetery last month.
Billy Smith now works in the oil industry in the Middle East.
But the 54-year-old was born and raised in Pensacola. And when
he read about the vandalism from the Pensacola News Journal's Web
site, he contacted authorities and offered to help.
Those with the cemetery put up $1,000 for the reward. Smith will
add another $2,000 to the pot. Police have also been receiving
calls from anonymous donors looking to help.
The vandals smashed open one of the largest mausoleums at the
cemetery.
