SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) - Former first lady Nancy Reagan is
said to be doing well after falling at her home in Bel-Air,
California.
Her spokeswoman says the 86-year-old Mrs. Reagan was taken to
St. John's Health Center, where doctors determined she did not
break a hip as feared.
Joanne Drake says Reagan will stay the night in the same room
where former President Ronald Reagan stayed after he broke his hip
at home in 2001. He died in June 2004.
Drake says Reagan's family physician recommended the overnight
stay "as a precaution."
Nancy Reagan's last major public appearance was at the January
30th Republican presidential debate at the Reagan Library in Simi
Valley, California, where she sat with Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger.
