CANTON, Ohio (AP) - The jury has reached a verdict in the trial
of a former police officer in Ohio accused of killing his pregnant
girlfriend.
Bobby Cutts has been found guilty of aggravated murder.
Jurors had been sequestered at a hotel since Tuesday to
consider three aggravated murder charges against Bobby Cutts. He was
accused of intentionally killing Jessie Davis, terminating a
pregnancy and causing the death of a viable, unborn child.
Cutts has said he accidentally killed Davis with a blow to the
throat during an argument.
Prosecutors say he strangled her to get out of making child
support payments for a fourth child.
Cutts has acknowledged dumping the body in a park, and telling
authorities the location nine days later.
