MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - There's no suspense about what Alabama
first lady Patsy Riley will get for Valentine's Day. Governor Bob Riley
says he's sticking with tradition.
Riley says he gave his wife a heart-shaped box of candy when she
was in the ninth grade in Ashland and he's done it every year since
then.
Riley made the comment today after holding a news conference at
a Wal-Mart in Montgomery. After the news conference, Riley mingled
with shoppers looking at Valentine's candy and flowers. Riley said
he had already lined up his gift for tomorrow because Valentine's
Day is one date he never forgets.
