Teacher Sex Trial Coming To A Close

Jury deliberations are set to begin this (Thursday) afternoon in the sexual misconduct trial fof 55 year old Charlene Schmitz.
Schmitz is accused of luring her former student into an improper sexual relationship.
Schitz is a teacher at Leroy Middle School in Washington County. She's on paid administrative leave.
This morning, Schmitz daughter Tanya Thomas took the stand and testified that she sent sexually the explicit instant messages to the then 14 year old victim in 2007.
Thomas testified that she helped her mother set up Schmitz instant message account and that she knew her username and password. The daughter also testified that she and the victim were boyfriend/girlfriend at one time.
Thomas testified she pretended to be her mother on-line and started instant messaging the victim when their relationship soured.
Closing arguments will be held this aftenoon, then the jury will be asked to decide the case.
