NEW YORK (AP) - Uno is best in show. Noisiest, too.
The three-year-old Beagle made history at the Westminster Kennel
Club show, becoming the first of his breed ever to win the top
prize.
He was clearly the fan favorite and got a standing ovation from
the sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden.
Uno became numero uno by beating out two poodles, a Sealyham
terrier, a Weimaraner, an Australian shepherd and an Akita. He
celebrated by jumping on his handler, baying and chewing on the
microphones of reporters who tried to interview his winning crew.
Handler Aaron Wilkerson calls Uno a "people's dog" and a
"merry little hound."
