Run-In With Mother Nature

Baldwin County family scrambles to clean-up and repair damage caused by severe weather

Seale Williamson had a run-in with Mother Nature Tuesday night. A line of severe weather swept across the Gulf Coast, damaging Williamson's Rosinton home.

"We've been through all the hurricanes since 1992 that came this way and we've never had wind like we had last night," says Williamson.

That wind ripped off Williamson's roof and left his barn in shambles. Now, he's scrambling to patch up and repair the roof before the weekend.

"The weather forecast shows more rain coming," says Williamson. "That won't be good if I can't get this roof fixed."

Officials with the National Weather Service surveyed the damage Wednesday at Williamson's house.

"We did look at the radar," says meteorologist Gary Beeler. "It looks like we had a line of straight-line winds come through here at 60 knots."

Tornado or not, Williamson is left with one big mess.
