Prichard Police have arrested a man they say used a metal cover from a water meter to break through a glass door of a grocery store. Police arrested Nathaniel Brown shortly after midnight. Brown, who is from Mobile, is charged with breaking into the Greer's Food Tiger on St. Stephens Road. Officers say they arrested Brown after a short chase. According to Prichard Police, Brown didn't give up easily, but officers were finally able to handcuff him. They say they found the items that had been stolen from Greer's. Brown is charged with burglary and resisting arrest. Officers say he has a criminal record that includes robbery, theft and drug charges.
