NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Birmingham native Emmylou Harris, Tom T.
Hall, the Statler Brothers and the late Ernest "Pop" Stoneman
will become the newest members of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Their upcoming induction was announced today in Nashville.
Country Music Association CEO Tammy Genovese says Harris is one
of the most revered song interpreters on the planet, while Hall is
a renowned storyteller with his music.
She says the Statler Brothers are America's poets and Pop
Stoneman was a patriarch of country music.
All of them will be formally inducted in a ceremony later this
year.
