A state senator who punched a fellow
legislator has changed his mind about suing. Senator Charles Bishop
told his fellow senators today that he has decided not to sue over
the Senate taking disciplinary action against him. The lawmaker
from Jasper says he's ready to put the blow last June behind him.
And he says he wants to treat other senators like he wants to be
treated.
Bishop's target, state Senator Lowell Barron, agreed it's over.
Bishop hit Barron on June 7, which was the final day of the 2007
legislative session.
