For the second time in less than a week, security at a Gulf Coast jail has been compromised. Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack says at a least one inmate tried to break through his cell wall and head for freedom.

"He wasn't going to get far," says Mack. "If he would have gotten out of his cell, he would have been in a very secure part of our maximum security wing. And then he would have to get through six doors before getting outside."

Mack identified the inmate at Daniel Blair. The sheriff says Blair used some type of metal instrument to break through the wall.

"This happened right after the Harrison County jailbreak in Gulfport," says Mack. "This could have been a copycat crime."

Mack says Blair's comical attempt at freedom could land him in the files of "America's Dumbest Criminals."

"Mr. Blair has denied it, he won't admit it, but I think the evidence in his cell certainly shows that he's the one who caused the mischief."
