Hotel Robbed At Gunpoint

On 12/24/08 at 2014 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Red Roof in located on Avalon Boulevard at Interstate 10 in reference to an armed robbery. When deputies arrived, an employee at the establishment stated that black suspect (unknown male or female) came into the business armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. A soon as the suspect entered through the front door, the suspect demanded that the employee give him all of the money from the cash register. The suspect thought that the employee was taking too long to give him the cash, so the suspect fled out the front door. No one was hurt during the robbery. No photographs of the suspect are available. The suspect is described as a black individual, approximately 5’05” tall, 170 pounds, wearing a light gray hoodie drawn tight over the suspects face and grey jogging or sweat pants. The suspect was soft spoken and had no visible facial hair. No further description of the suspect is available.
