Local Musicians To Go Overseas

Some talented young musicians from Mobile are getting ready to go to London, England to perform.
And people had a chance to sample their music Tuesday night.
St. Paul Episcopal School's Marching Band, Strings Chamber Ensemble, and Chorale gave a preview concert of some of the songs they'll be performing in London during a trip for New Year's next week.
Joseph Powell is a member of the band and chorale.
He said, "It's kind of like an outreach thing internationally, because we've never done anything like this before. Its getting the St. Paul's name out around the world."
Chorale member Kyle Grace Mills said, "Shopping's definitely going to be fun, but performing in some of these world famous cathedrals, their acoustics are just unbelievable, to hear ourselves and have the honor of singing in London, it's going to be really nice."
The St. Paul students plan to arrive in London December 29.
