WASHINGTON (AP) - Alabama Rep. Artur Davis has been named an
honorary co-chairman of President-elect Barack Obama's presidential
inauguration.
The Montgomery Democrat is among more than a dozen people
selected for the position.
Davis attended Harvard University with the Illinois senator and
served as chairman of his presidential campaign in Alabama.
Other honorary co-chairs include three former presidents -
Democrats Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and Republican George H.W.
Bush.
