Long lines and lots of people at Tuesday's Thysenkrupp job fair in Robertsdale.
Organizers says they were prepared for three hundred but got closer to a thousand of eager job seekers.
Inside the county commissions central annex building, would-be employees got to speak briefly with representatives from the German steel plant.
Many were hoping for more from the job fair. Spokesperson Mary Mullins says they are looking for a lot of employees. "We're looking for twenty-seven hundred permanent employees and we're in the midst of that process. We are really happy to bucking the trend when I know there are layoffs going on around the country."
Mullins encourages anyone interested in a job to apply on-line. A second job fair is scheduled for December 16th at the A.J. Cooper Municipal Auditorium in Prichard.
