The Okaloosa County Medical Examiner's Office says a longtime judge committed suicide.
Judge Robert Barron was found slumped over the wheel of his truck Wednesday in Shalimar. The Sheriff's Office has kept pretty quiet about the investigation, only saying no foul play was suspected. Friday morning, the medical examiner told News 5 the gunshot wound was self inflicted.
Judge Barron graduated from the University Of Alabama School of Law and served on the bench for 30 years. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
