If you're looking for a holiday deal, chances are good you'll find one today, that's if you're shopping on the web! Today is Cyber Monday, the unofficial start of the online holiday shopping season.
While some shoppers we talked to plan to take advantage of the internet deals, " I hope I see some really good discounts because of the economy and the recession and everything's in right now I'm hoping I can get a pretty good deal this year on Christmas," said Mobile online shopper, Eric Brownlee. Others say they still prefer to do their buying the old fashioned way, " online you have to, I mean, it's really a lucky game. You have to hope you get the right size, you know," said Mobile shopper, Anna Beykirch.
If you're buying online the Better Business Bureau has this advice for you: Make sure the website you're buying from is secure, look for a padlock at the bottom right hand corner of the page. Also, look for contact information like an address and working phone number, you don't want to buy from those who just offer an email address. Check the store's shipping and return policy and make sure they're a legitimate business. You can check out any company in the U.S. through theBBB website.
