It's a tale of two temperaments.
"I may get another one of those. It won't go bad. Give me two flashlights," says Henry Jones, who spent Thursday morning bustling for the basics. "I need to get some glow sticks. You never know when you'll need them," he said.
Jones is watching Gustav's track closely and hoping it stays away. But, while he's loading up on batteries and water, another Mobile resident, Donna McLeod, is taking a walk in the park.
"I'm gonna walk about five miles. I've got three more miles to do," she says.
Jones and McLeod clearly have different preparation plans. Jones is getting everything in order today, and McLeod says she'll wait until tomorrow.
"I'm the one getting my work out in, so I can prepare to go to the stores later," laughed McLeod, who admits she's just trying not to think much about the storm. "If I think about it, it freaks me out," she says.
Stores across the coast are already selling out of some supplies. Generators and five gallon gas cans top the list. A Lowes store manager tells News Five they continue to get new shipments, but you have to be quick.
