MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Police say a Mobile man has been charged
with sexually assaulting his girlfriend's 8-year-old daughter.
Sgt. Marcus Young, a public information officer, said
37-year-old Roderick Coleman was placed in Mobile County Metro Jail
Wednesday. He was charged with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy.
He said the sexual assault occurred on Sunday.
Police said the child's mother was not in the house at the time
of the assault.
Coleman denied the allegations.
