Baldwin County Sheriff's spokesman Anthony Lowery says a woman was shot and killed today (Sunday) as she sat in a pickup truck.
The shooting happened around 5:00pm on County Road 61 near Dean Lane in Lottie.
Lowery says it appears that James Morgan Dorriety will be charged with capital murder in the shooting.
Lowery also says the victim, whose name has not been released, was shot several times.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been revealed.
Dorriety is expected to appear in Baldwin County court Monday morning for a bond hearing.
He's currently being held in the Baldwin County Corrections Center in Bay Minette.
