Mobile police won't say where, but tell News 5 they will be establishing traffic checkpoints tonight. MPD spokesperson Eric Gallichant says safety checkpoints will be set up on local roadways to ensure that motorists are complying with state and local traffic laws.
The MPD news release also says police will be checking seatbelts, child restraints and other safety features. They will also be checking to ensure that drivers are carrying registration, proof of insurance and drivers licenses.
