Bayou La Batre Police tell News 5 that 18 year old Stephen Jered Bosarge was arrested after investigators received several tips about cows being shot. Police say back in January several cows had been shot in the Bayou La Batre area. Seven cows were injured and two of them died. Police say Bosarge and some other people were in a dirt pit shooting a gun. Police say Bosarge saw the cows and shot them. Police have issued more arrest warrants in the case.
According to the Mobile County Metro Jail inmate log, Stephen Bosarge is charged with killing or disabling livestock. He has been released on $3,000 bond.
