Friday morning Prichard Police arrested 34 year old Michael Smith on drug charges. According to City of Prichard Information Director, Nona Simmons, Smith was arrested during the search of a home on Montgomery Avenue following a two month long undercover investigation. Smith was under investigation for the illegal sale of marijuana, CD's and ecstasy pills. According to Prichard authorities some of the illegal activity happened in front of a 4 year old and 8 year old child. Investigators seized regular marijuana, hydroponic marijuana, ecstasy pills, bootleg cd's, computer equipment, a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria and money. Smith has been charged with, Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substances, Chemical Endangerment of a Child, Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree and Possession of Controlled Substance. Prichard Police also arrested a man in another unrelated drug investigation. Friday one of Prichard's Most Wanted fugitives turned himself in to the Prichard Police Department. Thirty-two year old Michael Reese was wanted in connection with a drug raid that occurred on Russell Avenue last Friday, April 4th. Prichard Police say Reese turned himself in after seing his image on electronic media and in Prichard city paper. A previous article on WKRG.com reported the drug raid Reese was sought for.
