More Than Puddles In Prichard

For people living in Prichard the storms were generous to some, but more costly to others.
Dorothy Chambers and her family spent the day cleaning up after spending the night in over a foot of flooding.
"My daughter woke me up and told me it was flooding, I did not expect for it to be like that,"Said Chambers.
Chambers says the flooding was at waist level outdoors, where several cars in the neighborhood were submerged in water.
Lashaun Williams says that's what happened to his two cars. Williams says he's lucky the storms spared his house.
"If it would have kept raining another thirty minutes or something like that, we would have got another like 6 inches of rain, it would've been in there,"Said Williams.
Chambers says she had damage to the floors in her house, including her furniture and a wall plugs. The Chambers are seeking help through the Red Cross while they finish cleaning up the mess overnight storms left.
