The talk about Tommy Tuberville's possible departure as Auburn's head coach, to coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks, is making its rounds. From the radio to holiday shoppers Tuberville is on the minds of many sports fans.
WSNP Radio's Jed Williams says it's too early to tell whether there's any truth to the rumor. "Where's the truth in this story, I guess it's somewhere in between Tommy Tuberville signing a lifetime contract at Auburn and becoming the next Arkansas Coach." Meantime Auburn fans are hoping it's all talk."I don't think they could do much better the guy's won about 40 games in the last 4 years, I mean it would be hard pressed to find somebody to replace him," said one Auburn fan."No matter who you get to replace him it's a rebuilding process, it takes years...as some of our Alabama friends are finding out, it's not instant pudding, "said Dan Curtis, Auburn fan. Tuberville's contract with the Auburn Tigers runs until 2010. The contract also includes a six-million dollar buyout for anyone that wants to hire him away.
