Arrest in Pensacola Assault

An arrest in the attempted murder and sexual assault of a woman found covered in blood and fighting for her life.

An arrest has been made in connection with a brutal attack in Pensacola. The Escambia County, Florida Sheriff's Office arrested Juan Antonio Morales is being held on one million dollars bond for attempted murder, sexual assault and destroying evidence in the attack of an unidentified woman at Clarion Inn Thursday morning.
Investigators say the two were introduced at a local night spot earlier in the evening. The attack occurred after a night of partying. Investigators were ableto retrace their steps and made the arrest Thursday night.
The victim suffered several stab wounds and remains hospitalized.
