Wicker Sworn In

Mississippi Republican Roger Wicker was sworn in today after Governor Haley Barbour selected him as retiring Senator Trent Lott's successor. Wicker will serve on the Senate until November 4th when a special election will be held to decide who will finish out Lott's term ending in 2012. Wicker is expected to run in the special election. He says his legislative priorities will include national security, economic development, job creation, transportation, and post-Katrina rebuilding.
