Puppy Tortured

A 7-month-old puppy was tortured. Now, Mobile County Animal Control needs your help to find the person who did it. Animal Control says someone shot the shepherd-hound mix in one of his legs, another was broken in several places and set on fire. The dog was found on Jones Road in Theodore. Humane Officer, Carmelo Miranda, says it's the worst case of animal cruelty he's seen in Mobile County. He says the dog had to be put down. Now, Miranda wants to catch the person who did it and make sure they're prosecuted. But, he says he needs your help to make that happen,"you have an individual like this, who does this to animals, there's nothing to prevent them from doing it to yours, so, if you want to stop them or at least make your concern aware to everybody, that you're not going to tolerate this in your neighborhood, turn that person in," said Mobile County Animal Control officer, Carmelo Miranda. Animal Control is trying to find out who owned the dog. Miranda says he will hold that person accountable. And, if the owner knows who did it, Miranda says they need to come forward.
