NEW YORK (AP) - New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte is
admitting his use of human growth hormone. The veteran left-hander
was one of more than 80 players mentioned in the Mitchell Report.
The 20-month investigation into the use of performance-enhancing
drugs in baseball was released Thursday.
Pettitte says he tried HGH on two occasions while recovering
from an elbow injury.
He also says "If what I did was an error in judgment on my
part, I apologize."
