The Toros of Spanish Fort High School are a step closer to having their own stadium.
The Baldwin County School Board voted last (Thursday) night to provide $1.5 million dollars to the project.
Baldwin County School spokesperson Terry Wilhite tells News 5 the vote was 6-1 in favor of funding the new stadium.
The money will come from surplus tax revenue.
The City of Spanish Fort has already pledged $3 million for the new stadium.
For the past 2 years, the Toros have played their "Home" games at other stadiums in Baldwin County.
