DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Someone will find a few less presents under
the Christmas tree this year.
A Florida man has been charged with felony drug possession after
the Ohio State Highway Patrol found 25 pounds of marijuana wrapped
as Christmas gifts in the trunk of his car.
Troopers stopped Michael Manning of Palm Coast driving a rental
car registered in California, for a traffic violation Saturday in
western Ohio. A drug-sniffing dog led officers to the trunk, where
they found the drugs worth about $56,000.
Manning was taken to the Preble County Jail and charged with
possession of marijuana and criminal tools. If convicted, he faces
up to six years in prison and up to a $12,500 fine.
