The Escambia County Sheriff's Office has arrested two teenagers they say confessed to a burglary spree involving six Pensacola churches.
Deputies caught 18-year-old Caleb Brunner
and 18-year-old Destin Wade
last week after the second burglary at Charity Chapel in less than a month. During questioning, deputies say Brunner and Wade confessed to five other church burglaries.
The duo is accused of stealing from Charity Chapel (twice), Crossroads Baptist Church, Myrtle Grove Baptist, Belleview Assembly of God and Calvary Baptist Church.
Several of the stolen items were found at local pawn shops. Deputies also found some of the loot in Wade's vehicle.
Brunner and Wade face a laundry list of charges including burglary, grand theft, felony criminal mischief and dealing in stolen property.
