One of the lawyers accused of bribing a judge in a case involving Hurricane Katrina victims pleads guilty.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Lawyer Timothy Balducci has pleaded guilty
to conspiracy to bribe a judge and is assisting federal prosecutors
in a case involving one of the nation's wealthiest trail lawyers.
Balducci made the plea yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) after
initially pleading not guilty.
Court recrds say Balducci is the one who physically delivered
thousands of dollars to a judge at the behest of prominent attorney
Richard "Dickie" Scruggs.
The alleged bribe came in a case over disputed legal fees from a
massive Hurricane Katrina settlement.
