CYBERSPACE (AP) - The state of Florida and Google are teaming up to make searching for information in state databases easier to find
when you use the popular online search engine.
Google is providing free consulting and software so data in Florida state databases will turn up in Google searches. Many state agencies make numerous
public records available online. But the information hasn't been indexed by search engines at Google and other popular search sites.
So far, five other states are taking part in Google's effort. And Google is trying to get local governments involved, too.
