The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning homicide in Milton after a 3-year-old girl found her mom's body.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning homicide in Milton after a 3-year-old girl found her mom's body.
Deputies say the victim's relative had been trying to reach her by phone. After several unsuccessful attempts, the relative drove to the victim's house on Begonia Street. When they arrived, the victim's little girl said her mother had been killed.
Deputies have not released many details at this point, including the victim's name or how they died. But News 5 has learned a "person of interest" is in custody.
