NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) - Richard Hatch is asking a court to allow him to go to Samoa so he can be part of a 10th anniversary edition
of "Survivor." Filming starts next month. But, Hatch is in home confinement. He was the first "Survivor" winner. And, he was convicted in 2006 of not paying taxes on his million-dollar winnings.

He was in prison and now he's serving the final 90 days of his sentence in home confinement. The government says in court papers that Hatch still hasn't paid $400,000 he owes. It says a judge previously found that Hatch needs supervision, and if he remains overseas, like in Samoa, it would be impossible to put him
in prison again if he doesn't pay his taxes. Hatch says any money he earns from the show can go toward his taxes.
