HONG KONG (AP) - The Hong Kong government says British sweet
maker Cadbury is recalling its Chinese-made chocolates as a
precaution.
The Hong Kong government said in a statement Monday that Cadbury
Asia Pacific informed its Center for Food Safety that it would
recall 11 types of chocolates made in its factory in the Chinese
capital Beijing.
It was not immediately clear if tests found the industrial
chemical melamine in the products.
China's recent food safety scandal started with the discovery of
melamine in baby milk powder.
